Meet the Dentists
Dr. Michael Richer and Dr. Nadia Rivera met during residency at Montefiore Medical Center and opened R+R Dental together in 2009. Dr. Richer grew up in Farmingdale and lives in Bethpage, two of Plainedge’s next-door neighbors.
Dr. Michael Richer
Dr. Richer, a University of Toronto graduate, is an Invisalign preferred provider and applies his training in cosmetic dentistry and CEREC one-visit crowns.
Dr. Nadia Rivera
Dr. Rivera, a University of Puerto Rico dental graduate, sees patients of all ages for family and cosmetic care. She is fluent in English and Spanish, so Spanish-speaking patients can talk through their care with her directly.

If a bad experience or a long gap in dental care has kept you away, just let us know when you book or call. We’re glad to go at your pace. The last thing you’ll find here is pressure or judgment.
- A laser instead of the needle, sometimes. For select cavity treatments, Solea laser dentistry may mean little or no numbing.
- Help relaxing. Nitrous oxide may be available if you feel anxious, once the dentist checks that it suits your health and the procedure.
- Small comforts. Ask for a blanket, a neck pillow, a massage chair, or the TV.

Book a cleaning, come in for tooth pain, or ask about a straighter smile. You and the kids see the same dentists, and you can ask to book the family back-to-back.

Invisalign Clear Aligners
Both founding dentists provide Invisalign. A digital scan and an exam show whether aligners fit your bite and how long treatment might take.
Wisdom Teeth and Extractions
We handle extractions, including wisdom teeth removal, and go over your options and comfort choices ahead of time.
One-Visit Crowns With CEREC
When a tooth is a good fit, CEREC digital dentistry lets us make and place the crown in one appointment, with no second trip.

Call ahead with your insurance card handy, and we will help you understand what to expect before your visit. No coverage? Ask about the In-House Savings Plan.
If You Have a PPO Plan
We accept all major PPO plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Delta Dental, Guardian, MetLife, and United Healthcare. Give us your plan name and member information, and we will check your network and help you estimate your share before you come in.
Coverage depends on your plan, and an out-of-network plan may still work here. We do not accept HMO plans or Medicaid.
If You Have No Dental Insurance
The In-House Savings Plan is $455 for 12 months, for patients without insurance or with an out-of-network plan. It includes:
- Exams, two cleanings, oral cancer screenings, and fluoride treatments.
- Routine X-rays, excluding CT scans.
- 20% off minor and major procedures.

Your First Appointment, Step by Step
- Share the concern that brought you in. A sore tooth, an overdue cleaning, or a smile goal. If you are anxious, say so, and we will plan around it.
- Settle in and let us take a look. Many first visits start with a look around the office. Then an exam and any X-rays show where your teeth and gums stand.
- Go over the next step together. We explain what we found and what it would take, and nothing is scheduled until you say so.
Getting Here From Plainedge
Find us at R+R Dental, 754 S Broadway, Hicksville, NY 11801. We’ve served patients from across the region, including Plainedge, Massapequa, Farmingdale, Levittown, Plainview, and more.
Hours run until 7 PM Monday through Thursday, with Saturday appointments from 9 AM to 1 PM. Ask for a time that works with your week.

Is R+R Dental in Plainedge?
We’re very close! Our only office is in Hicksville, at 754 S Broadway, just up the road from Plainedge.
I have not been to a dentist in years. Where do I start?
Book online or call if you would rather talk it through. Let us know how long it’s been, and we’ll work together to create a plan to get your teeth and gums in tip-top shape. Your first visit is manageable on purpose: a simple exam and a chance to catch up on your dental history. No pressure!
Will I know the cost before treatment starts?
Yes. Ask about the cost of a first visit when you call. For treatment, you get a written estimate after the exam, before any work is scheduled.
What should I have ready for a first visit?
A photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications. Write down the questions you want answered if you like, and bring a payment method if you are paying without insurance.
